Gary Bauer of American Values said after the SOTU address by President Trump:
“Either we respect the sanctity of life or we do not.
Either we secure the border or we do not.
Either we remain a nation committed to free markets and individual liberty or we do not.
Either we cherish our history and traditions or we do not. ”
It’s hard not to call Democrats names who sat there condoning live-birth abortion (and all abortion for that matter). I found their lack of compassion for new-borns infuriating and disgusting.
The lunacy of the Left continues to amaze me—how so many people can be so hard-hearted to allow the murder of the most innocent among us, even at the moment of birth.
How so many people can be unaware of the issues caused by uncontrolled immigration (open borders), including not only crimes committed against American Citizens, but the diseases being brought into our country, the strain on our health and welfare systems, and the ever-increasing cost to deal with these issues.
How is it possible for those people not to see any farther into the future than next week, next month, or next year? Do they really believe by ignoring multiple witness accounts and evidence to the contrary that these things will somehow miraculously correct themselves, or not even occur?? I actually wonder if some of these people believe they are going to live forever!
It is lunacy. It’s denial. It’s delusional.
But more than that, it’s this:
‘They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator…” Romans 1:25
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:4
Whatever you may believe, know this: the ‘powers of this dark world’ have deceived and are deceiving people in powerful places not only in America, but all over the world.
It is a supernatural war between Good and Evil. And Human Beings are caught right smack dab in the middle of it.
It forces us to choose sides: We’re either going to choose Good, or we’re going to choose Evil. There’s no in-between, no straddling the fence.
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and man.” – Matthew 6:24
It’s more than a lack of common sense; it’s a lack of spiritual discernment. Common sense goes a long way, but it becomes distorted by the earthly things around us, and becomes weakened in our circumstances.
Only if we seek God through Christ Jesus will we receive the spiritual discernment given by the Holy Spirit which we need to cope in today’s world.
Only then can we avoid the lunacy of deception.
