Gates

I don’t know if “Watergate” was the first use of a coined term about a government coverup, but the liberals and Mainstream Media have provided a few of their own:

Sweat-gate:

CNN Brian Stelter tried to catch President Trump in a lie during his trip to Fayetteville, N.C. Stelter tweeted:

Trump just said there are people in line for his rally and “they are soaking wet.” Per CNN’s @betsy_klein, “it is 88 and sunny here in Fayetteville. It has not rained here today.”

— Brian Stelter (@brianstelter) September 9, 2019

The twitter-sphere (is that a word?) was quick to point out to Stelter that when you stand on the sidewalk in the sun and it’s 88 degrees (F) and humid, guess what happens? You sweat!

One respondent had good advise for Stelter and other reporters who jumped on that band wagon:

“Find another job!.”

Term-gate:

The U.S. is set to host the 2026 men’s soccer championship, the largest event in global sports, in conjunction with Canada and Mexico.

“We’ve got a problem – it’s in 2026,” Trump said. “I said, well wait a minute. Under the normal rules, I’ll be out in 2024. So we may have to go for an extra term, OK?”

As the crowd cheered, the president stood back with a wry smile, shook his head, gestured towards media representatives, and made a “cuckoo” sign.

“Oh they’re going crazy, they’re going crazy,” he riffed. “Tomorrow you’re going to see headlines: Trump wants an extra term! I told you, I told you. He wants it.”

“He wants an extra term, ladies and gentlemen. We told you! We told you he’s a dictator, we told you!”

“Nah, nah,” he continued. “I’m only kidding. I’m only kidding.”

(Okay, maybe this hasn’t happened yet, but give it time. It probably will after the news outlets think everyone has forgotten about it.)

Sharpie-gate:

Have to decide who to believe on this one.

Apparently President Trump publicly displayed a map to indicate areas Dorian might hit, and it included Alabama. The map had been edited using a sharpie; President Trump said he did not know who edited the impact map. Then came the report that Acting NOAA director Neil Jacobs had been accused of directing the agency to publicly contradict the National Weather Service, under alleged threat from Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, to include Alabama. Ross supposedly was asked by the White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney to do so.

Former NOAA director D. James Baker told CNN’s Don Lemon the president could actually be jailed for publicly claiming the state could be affected by the storm. He cited a law enacted in 1894 that said it is unlawful for any person to put out a “false weather forecast.”

So the next time you step outside and look at the sky, don’t say “it’s going to rain” if anyone else can hear you.

But the point is, how many times have you heard a weather forecast and it didn’t happen? It happens.

Airplane-gate:

The New York Times really needs to control their employees who have a Twitter account!

“18 years have passed since airplanes took aim and brought down the World Trade Center,” the tweet read. (emphasis added)

The times deleted the tweet, but not before the twitter-sphere (there’s that word again) rightfully erupted with things like:

“Airplanes? Did they have a malfunction?”

“Time to remove these weapons of war from the sky.”

“Won’t someone do something about these fanatical airplanes!”

Brittany Hughes of MRCTV fixed it for NYT:

“But since the Times is still struggling to get out exactly what happened that day nearly 20 years ago, I’ll be happy to lend my services free of charge.

“Eighteen years have passed since 19 Islamic terrorists used hijacked planes to massacre nearly 3,000 innocent people in the name of their radical religious ideology.”

There, NYT. Fixed it for you.”

Thanks, Brittany!

Ice-gate: (Baby it’s Cold Outside!)

A ship carrying 16 “climate-change warriors” looking to document purported melting ice conditions got trapped in ice last week in the Hinlopen Strait, halfway between Norway and the North Pole.

The Sweden-flagged MS Malmo became stuck Sept. 3 off Longyearbyen, Svalbard Archipelago, according to the Maritime Bulletin.

“The ship is on Arctic tour with Climate Change documentary film team, and tourists, concerned with Climate Change and melting Arctic ice,” the report said. “All 16 Climate Change warriors were evacuated by helicopter in challenging conditions, all are safe.”

The author of the story, Erofey Schkvarkin, noted: “Something is very wrong with Arctic ice, instead of melting as ordered by UN/IPCC, it captured the ship with Climate Change Warriors.”

This is the second time this year that unexpectedly thick ice has caused a problem for a vessel.

In July, “The Norwegian research vessel and icebreaker Kronprins Haakon (Crown Prince Haakon) was forced to turn back north of Svalbard after meeting considerably thicker ice than expected,” reported Electroverse.net.

So… WHAT climate change? WHAT global warming?

Pretty difficult to refute hard ice, er… evidence.

Russia-gate:

A fake dossier; a falsified affidavit to gain a FISA warrant; the unconstitutional appointment of a Special Prosecutor; 2 years of unconstitutional investigations leading to illegal arrests and indictments; searches and seizures without due process; a report that culminated in no evidence, no impeachment, no wrongdoing, and no collusion.

Email-gate; FBI-gate; DNA-gate; we could go on and on.

The liberals, Democrats, and the Mainstream Media are unable and unwilling to learn from any of this.

They have lost all aspects of common sense, civility, and even decency.

They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator…” Romans 1:25

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:4

Whatever you believe, know this: the ‘powers of this dark world’ have deceived and are deceiving people in powerful places not only in America, but all over the world.

It is a supernatural war between Good and Evil. And Human Beings are caught right smack dab in the middle of it.  (This isn’t like the TV shows “Supernatural” or “Stranger Things” or “Grimm” or “In Between”, etc.  Those things are meant to deceive us.  The war between Good and Evil is very real on the spiritual level and translates to human actions.)

It forces us to choose sides: We’re either going to choose Good, or we’re going to choose Evil. There’s no in-between, no straddling the fence.

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and man.” – Matthew 6:24

It’s more than a lack of common sense; it’s a lack of spiritual discernment. Common sense goes a long way, but it becomes distorted by the earthly things around us, and becomes weakened in our circumstances.

Only if we seek God through Christ Jesus will we receive the spiritual discernment given by the Holy Spirit which we need — indeed, must have — to cope in today’s world.
