Last October Tony Perkin’s warned us about things the Democrats would push if they won big in the 2018 election. As we know the Democrats now control the House.
Here is part of what Tony penned October 26, 2018: (Emphasis added)
“Anyone who thought the bathroom debate was out of control under Barack Obama hasn’t seen anything yet. This past Tuesday at a Harvard University event, Pelosi said that passing Equality Act (or, more accurately, the Inequality Act) would be a top priority for Democrats. “It isn’t in our ‘For the People’ agenda,” she explained, “because it doesn’t get that specific, but there’s one more because it’s personal for me that I really want to do, and it’s called the Equality Act.”
Considered the most radical piece of pro-LGBT legislation ever introduced in Congress, this bill would dramatically alter the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to force Americans’ conformity on everything from sexuality to transgenderism. It would make what’s been unfolding in Target bathrooms look like a Sunday school picnic.
Under this bill, anyone who objects to homosexuality on moral grounds would be severely punished. That includes schools, businesses, food banks, adoption agencies, homeless shelters, faith-based ministries, government offices – without exemption. Religious liberty, as we know it, would cease to exist.”
Sarah Kramer of the Alliance Defending Freedom wrote an in-depth report of the Equality Act on May 1, 2019, part of which says:
“What about the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) – doesn’t that provide some protection for these groups?
In the past, similar proposals have claimed to respect the concerns of the religious community and the LGBT community, offering a few narrow exemptions for religious freedom. But the “Equality Act” offers no exemptions for religious freedom. In addition, the bill would forbid religious individuals and organizations even to invoke the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. The faithful would be virtually powerless in the face of a bill designed to punish them for living out their beliefs.
Does that sound like equal treatment to you?
Essentially, the “Equality Act” gives people of faith an ultimatum: Change your faith-based practices or face government punishment.
The Bottom Line
Laws must respect freedom and promote justice for every citizen, no matter who they are. A society that protects everyone’s freedom to peacefully live according to their beliefs promotes an environment of mutual respect among Americans from all walks of life.
But that is not what the “Equality Act” does. Instead, it threatens Americans’ fundamental liberties. And that is something no American should stand for.”

If we’ve ever wondered what a rogue government looks like, we can look to Venezuela, Cuba, and several other countries. Compare the actions of the liberal Democrats in the House to the actions of those governments.
Similar? I believe so. False accusations, “kangaroo-court” investigations, impeding Constitutional process, abuse of power, and forcing law and policy on citizens that have only to do with control and centralized power.
To say the actions of the Democratic-controlled House are misguided is a gross understatement.
They are not acting for the good of the people. Period.
But supported by the fine-tuned propaganda spewing of the Mainstream Media they have convinced the people — at least their constituents — only they know what is better for America. Then by promoting the welfare state among their constituents, they coerce votes necessary to keep them in office.
Perhaps it’s time for Christians and conservatives to stop shying away from confrontation. Perhaps it’s time for us to speak out when we hear others speaking about the “problems” with our President, or the opinions too often told as truth by Mainstream Media to undermine the good things that have happened in the Trump presidency.
Edmund Burke said “When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.”
Also he said “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.”
And similar to that, perhaps his most popular statement: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
