(CNSNews.com) – Former Deputy Assistant to President Donald Trump Sebastian Gorka, speaking at the CPAC conference in National Harbor, Md., on Thursday, said the Democrats’ Green New Deal is “a watermelon,” because it’s “green on the outside” and “deep, deep red communist on the inside.”
“According to the amazing Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, they did a poll last year in which they found that 52 percent of American millennials would like to live in a socialist or communist America,” Gorka said, which is why 40 Democrat candidates in the last midterm election called themselves socialists.”
“That is why Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has introduced the Green New Deal, which is – remember this one, use it. It’s a watermelon – green on the outside, deep, deep red communist on the inside,” he said. “They want to take your pickup truck. They want to rebuild your home. They want to take away your hamburgers. This is what Stalin dreamt about but never achieved.
“You are on the frontlines of the war against communism coming back to America under the guise of Democratic socialism, which is just the PC term for communism. I want everyone to take to heart Donald J. Trump is never going to let it happen, and as he said to Congress, America will never be a socialist country,” Gorka added.

If you’re wondering how and why Millennials think Socialism is so great, take a look at the public school system. Take a look at the universities and colleges across America. The public school system has become the indoctrination system of the Left, and it’s done cleverly enough a lot of teachers don’t even realize it. Why? Because they, too, were educated in the public school system. Most public and many private universities and colleges are training grounds for politically violent groups like Antifa, the Occupy movement, and others. Liberal teachers push their ideologies to a captive audience of students, who either agree or they fail. It’s not education; it’s brainwashing.
History books are re-written to enforce the lie that America is and has always been an oppressive force in the world, even though real history (up to now) proves otherwise. When teachers and professors stand before students and declare that America causes more harm in the world than it helps, when they say capitalism is evil and the only way to save the world is “share the wealth”, when they say America had no right to “invade” other countries during the war, students believed it as truth.
It’s important for us to remember the Holocaust, The Great Depression, Pearl Harbor, and the atrocities of Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Castro, Mao Zedong (Mao Tse-tung), all who embraced Communism. When we forget what they did to their own people, and if we forget what our troops did (do) to keep America free, we have no hope of keeping our freedom.
When you hear someone saying America is not a great country to live in, invite them to move to Cuba or Venezuela or China for a month. If they’re lucky they won’t be arrested as a spy as soon as they set foot on foreign soil, and when they get tired of not having enough food or medical care or police and fire protection maybe they will start to understand.
The liberal media must believe they will always be above whatever “rule of law” exists, declaring themselves the “watchdog” of all things political. History has shown the first people to come under complete control of a dictatorship is the press. The American press has not experienced “oppression” as such; when dissenting reporters end up in front of the firing squad, or imprisoned until they die of starvation or disease, the realization of what they have done will come too late for them and for our country.
As Gorka said, we, today, are on the front line of the war against Communism coming back to America.
This is a battle we must not lose.
Absolutely true. I am saddened by intelligent people I know who have been so deluded that they think ‘this time we’ ll do socialism right’. There is no right way to do socialism.
