I don’t usually write “technical reviews” but this one could be very serious.
I have been told by another trusted user that there is a bad windows 11 update that can completely shut down your computer. He lost his home computer and his church computer after the update was installed.
Microsoft has released a patch for it that apparently helps some but not all.
Upon researching this, he found it appears the issue is world-wide.
The bad update is a mandatory update, so you may not be able to refuse to install it.
If you use Windows 11, turn OFF automatic updates. If the option is still available, enable “Download updates but do not install.”
I don’t often use Windows 11 (I use Linux Mint), so I am not sure the above will prevent it happening to you or not, but it’s certainly worth trying.
Hopefully, you can postpone updates until the issue is resolved by Microsoft.
