OPINION – Mine

When I saw this cartoon, I thought of the Jan 6 political prisoners being held in the Washington, D.C. jail.  Many have been charged with simple trespass, yet they have not had “their day in court” nor have they been provided with defense lawyers; the ones who have are finding the “defense lawyers” are more interested in a guilty plea than true justice.  Some have been sentenced to prison for years for misdemeanors.  The rights of those people have been violated completely, and no one — no one — seems interested in doing anything about it.

The “insurrection” has become a forbidden topic, mainly because of the lies that are still being uncovered today about the FBI’s involvement, the complicity of the Capitol Police, corruption in the D.C. legal system, and intent to blame it all on Donald Trump.  And the Marxist Media is supporting those actions by what really is “misinformation.”

As Senator Josh Hawley said “If the people in power can jail their political opponents, we don’t have a republic any more.”  Yet that is exactly what has been done and they’re still trying to do.

The DOJ deployed swat teams and armed federal agents against teachers, pro-life activists, and parents who speak out against the woke madness of our current leaders in government, against abortion, against the LGBT grooming of our children, against activist teachers, and corrupt school boards.   And they were called “terrorists.”  Now Christian organizations, churches, faith-based companies, etc., are under attack.

And it’s all intended to intimidate conservative voices, sway voting, and control people.

We no longer have a ‘government for the people’ but rather a socialist government seeking to destroy the Constitution and weaponize every federal agency they can infiltrate.  From the president down through congress through a lot of state governors, they seek to enrich themselves, consolidate their power, and remove any and all opponents at any cost.  Citizens have become Feudal servants, expected to obey every whimsical desire of the elite, taxed to poverty, over-burdened by licensing and permits, censored at many levels, with the only recourse being resistance at each and every opportunity.

Today that opportunity still exists – somewhat – at the ballot box.  But that is fast becoming a futile exercise, a sham of democracy now embedded with scandal and corruption, and won’t last much longer.  (The day will come when we have to determine how far we’ll go with the resistance.)

I spoke with a man who taught shop class 50 years ago.  He said students brought guns, bows, arrows, hunting knives, etc., to class to work on them.  No one ever considered it dangerous.  In those days,  America was the country where everyone in the world wanted to live.  And those who did, came, took the citizenship test, and started living the “American Dream.”  It was safe, prosperous, and full of opportunities for everyone – anyone – who wanted to make the effort.

That America is gone almost completely.

I say almost completely because there are still those who have a Faith in God that is unshakable, and, as importantly, they have led their children and grandchildren into that faith.  George Washington said “Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.”  Ronald Reagan said somewhat prophetically “If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”

In other words, without God, this nation falls.
