The Basic Right

Since SCOTUS decided to over rule Roe vs Wade, it has been incredible what people are saying – and doing.  The meltdowns are nothing if not sensational, and usually laced with expletives that would make a sailor blush.  If you believe that only the uneducated use that kind of language, you would be wrong.

One thing they keep bringing up is the “right” for a woman to have an abortion.  Put another way – more realistically – they demand a woman has a “right” to murder another human being – even the one she’s carrying in her own body.

And yes, it IS her body.  So if she wants to take responsibility for her own body, how about not getting pregnant in the first place???

Chief Justice John Roberts in writing an independent opinion on the Court’s ruling says they should not have ruled “on the basic right.”

The basic right???  NO WHERE in the Constitution is a woman given the “right” to have an abortion, i.e. to terminate the life of her unborn baby.

Over 60 million lives have been snuffed out under the guise of “women’s health care” and/or a “woman’s right” to end her pregnancy.  And apparently even the ugly truth of trafficking in baby parts and tissue is not enough to change these people’s minds.  Every person who thinks abortion is a “right” should watch one being performed.  Why do you think the abortion clinics never let the mother see the ultrasound or hear the baby’s heartbeat?

It’s unfathomable to think how many Einsteins, Mozarts, Da Vinci’s, Carver’s, Thomas’s, or Hawking’s have been lost to abortion.

When people start talking about “legitimate reasons” to have an abortion, we – and they – need to be discerning, and we need to understand that judging people is not our role, it is God’s.   And God can turn something evil done to another person and make something – or someone – good out of it.

Some are saying the “culture of death” is at an end, and perhaps that is so to a certain extent.  But the culture of apostasy – falling away from God, moving against His Word – continues as it never has before.

Paul wrote to Timothy in his first letter:

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.

Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
