If you’re an Apple device user, you are familiar with Siri – the “AI” (artificial intelligence) app on any Apple device that does just about any thing you ask of “her” (the voice is a woman’s voice). I don’t use it, but I have watched my kids and grandkids ask Siri things like “who is … ” or “where is … ” to even how to fix something (like my grandson’s truck!).
Amazon has their own version, named Alexis. They are both highly effective in finding answers.
Occasionally we hear stories like the 5 and 7 year old children who ordered $700 worth of toys and had them delivered!! Luckily there are settings to prevent those things from happening!
Some of us (like yours truly) are wary of using these talking assistants because of privacy concerns. But here’s a story that shows us God can and does use technology for His purpose and glory.
“Do you wanna know how I found your webpage?” David asked a couple of minutes later. “I went into Google, and I asked Siri, ‘How can I get saved?’ And your page popped up.”
David (not his real name) is a 48-year-old, 20-year-veteran cop who was quarantined in the pandemic waiting for tests results on COVID-19, afraid and distraught. The page that popped up was the Billy Graham Association web page.
God is never limited… “…all things work together for good… according to His purpose…”
