An anonymous op-ed appeared in the New York Times September 5 reportedly written by a ” senior official” in the Trump administration who said he was “part of the resistance” inside the administration, and “the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic.”
Let’s see: Taxes are down, employment is up across the board–which means unemployment is lower than it’s ever been, North Korea’s threats were met head-on and de-escalated, Iran has lost it’s Obama-infused nuclear deal, American corporations are staying IN America creating more jobs, Obamacare has been gutted, our troops have been given the go-ahead to do their job without unreasonable rules of engagement, and Trump won the 2016 election fair and square with no Russian collusion. Those things are just a few of what Trump has accomplished, more in two years that the last 16 years before him.
Apparently that “senior official” isn’t paying attention.
We have to ask, if the liberal Democrats and their cohorts in the liberal media would stop feeding us lies and misinformation, stop making up ridiculous stories blaming Trump for everything they can, and stop subverting any and all governmental processes they can, how much more could President Trump accomplish? If he was not constantly harassed by loud-mouth reporters who like children demand his attention, or vilified by setting members of congress who apparently are not interested in the sovereignty of America nor the safety of our citizens, President Trump might indeed make America great again.
But we have become a society of antagonism. Every time there’s an “uprising” of protesters, even at the confirmation hearings of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, there follows reports of protesters being paid to disturb the peace and disrupt the proceedings. “Civil disobedience” has become a resolution for too many people. When they cannot win an argument with fact and reason, they shout down or beat down their opponents. Violence and intimidation are tools of those who seek complete control.
As important as the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh is now, the election in November will be critical to our freedom and way of life in America. May God continue to bless us.
