Testing the Nations

On Tony Perkins’ Washington Watch, former Israel Defense Forces (IDF) major Amir Tsarfati talks about the Hamas attack on Israel: “These were “unspeakable crimes against humanity,” he insisted, “… performed by bloodthirsty people that have no regard [for] human life and have no intention to have any peace with us at all. … And Israel, for the longest time, tried to appease them by giving them jobs within Israel, by allowing money to flow in — but this monster rose one morning and tried to devour us.”

“I believe God is testing the nations right now,” Amir insisted. “He’s testing the nations. He’s testing the believers, His people, [on where they stand with Israel]. … Look, when I began to travel around the world, God showed me, ‘Wherever you go, look at what they teach about Israel, and you will know the spiritual state of that church,’ because it’s like a litmus test. It’s amazing.”“But it’s not just Israel in the crosshairs,” Tsarfati urged. “It’s Christians too. Those terrorists always say, ‘The Saturday people are first. The Sunday people are next.’ They use that term. They don’t even hide it. And I mean, Europe must wake up. America must wake up. America has thousands of sleeping cells all across the country. Your southern border is so open,” he shook his head. “I can’t even imagine how many Hezbollah and Hamas cells are in your country right now. They’re testing you. And look, they waited and waited and waited and deceived us and deceived the whole area that they’re deterred and not going to [pounce]. And then boom, one day they strike.”

“I hope Americans are going to wake up to understand that you are in a crisis right now,” Amir cautioned. And if this country is going to survive, “… you know what you need to do [next] November.”

Today in Jerusalem, two Hamas terrorists attacked a bus stop and murdered three people before they were shot down by off-duty soldiers.   As they did on October 7, Hamas violated the cease fire that was (is) in place.  Yet Israel is pressured by the American government to continue the “cease fire.”

Now, to me, things look more bleak than anything I ever considered.  America is falling.  There’s no other way to say it.  When you look at what’s happening in our colleges and universities – indeed all over the country – Jews are being attacked, pro-terrorist riots are common, Christians are being labeled as  “Christian Nationalists” and are fast becoming the next most persecuted group in the world, along with Jews, even in America.

250,000 immigrants cross our southern border every month and the government is doing nothing about it.  A large part of those people are not interested in becoming Americans; they are interested in making America into something vastly different than what it has been.  And so does the Federal Government!!

The Marxist Left has finally got Donald Trump cornered, and the activist judge presiding over his trial is doing everything he can to silence (and imprison)  Trump.  Trumps’ lawyers filed a complaint against the judge for his “bizarre and biased behavior” and “judicial intemperance”.

As others have said, if it can happen to a former president of the United States, it can happen to anyone.  And remember, there are still people in jail – without due process — in Washington, D.C. for “something” from Jan 6, 2021 (2 1/2 years!!)  Most are political prisoners in every sense of the word.

Many Christians will say that God is in control, we don’t need to worry, and they are not entirely wrong.  But we all need to remember the Hebrew people spent 40 years wandering in the wilderness before God allowed them into the promised land.

Wasn’t He in control then?  Absolutely.

The problem was (and is) SIN.  Time and again, Israel strayed away from the commandments of God.  And always God judged their sin, did what was necessary to remove that sin, and put Israel back on the path He had planned for them.  God is still working to put Israel on that path.

I believe America is being judged for sin, specifically abortion, turning away from God, denying this country was founded on Biblical principles.  There is no compromise with sin:  God condemns it, judges it, and removes it from the midst of His people, one way or another.

10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. 11Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives…That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat... 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

14 So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. 15 Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
