The United States and other countries around the world are supporting Ukraine, to their own detriment.
Great Britain has said they “don’t have much more to give” and NATO said they’re scraping the bottom of the barrel in their arsenals. General Sir Richard Barrons, who formerly served as the Joint Forces chief warned earlier this year that in a ‘hopefully hypothetical’ situation where the British Army had to engage with Russian forces it would run out of ammunition in just one day!
And they are not alone. Germany’s military may be weaker than The United States military in terms of war-readiness. Poland, a staunch supporter of Ukraine up to now, has stopped sending weapons in order to re-arm itself. Poland stands to be the next in line for Russian invasion after Ukraine.
And now, while our federal government is “running out of money,” Biden continues to assure Ukraine they will receive more aid from America.
Rep. Jim Jordan said when asked about sending more of your hard-earned dollars to Ukraine:
“Why should we be sending American tax dollars to Ukraine when we don’t even know what the goal is? . . . What is the objective? Until you can tell me the goal, I don’t think we should continue to send money there, particularly when we have problems on our border.”
THE WHAT IFs:
What if Ukraine is not the “victim” but instead a part of the plan? What if the war in Ukraine is being used to drain the world’s armies of weaponry, putting them in vulnerable positions? Totalitarian governments don’t care how many people die to achieve their goals, including their own people.
Even after giving Ukraine $70 Billion, the Democrats may not care what happens in the United States if the government shuts down:
Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) said that he is “definitely” willing to shut down the government if a bill to keep it open doesn’t include Ukraine funding.
To be fair, Bennet’s mother was a Polish Jew, born in Warsaw in 1938, and he has a very different perspective on what should be done. But what about America?? Bennett talks about politicians with “different imperatives” – what could be a clearer imperative than putting – and keeping – America first?
And if that means putting foreign aid on the back burner in order to preserve the sovereignty of The Untied States, then so be it.
You have to be on solid ground before you can help others. The United States is not on solid ground.
