No Time in Heaven

Today my wife is 75.  Well, on earth, that is.  But she’s in heaven.

Heaven is without time; there’s never any rush, no deadlines, no schedules, no anxiety, no plans for the future…  no time to keep track of…no birthdays…no aging…

Those things in themselves sound like heaven to many people on earth as they work, fret, and struggle with time.  

But that’s only a very small part of heaven…

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”  1 Corinthians 2:9

It is impossible for us to imagine heaven…even though we may encounter some glorious and wondrous things here on earth, it cannot match Heaven.  We might even think “it can’t get better than this” but it CAN.  It WILL.  It IS.

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”  Revelation 21:4

Christians are not immune to the trials and hardships of this life.  But we have a promise that after we have endured, after we have struggled, after we have run the race, we have unimaginable rewards awaiting us in Heaven!!

There is nothing I could wish for to give my dear wife; there is nothing that even comes close to what she has now!

Eternity in the presence of her Savior – our Savior – Jesus Christ.

We all must ask ourselves:  Where will we spend eternity?  In the Presence of God (Heaven), or in the Absence of God (Hell)?

Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”  (John 14:6)

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him (Jesus) will not perish, but have everlasting life.”  (John 3:16)

While it is still called “today” do not harden your hearts against Him.  (Hebrews 3:13-15)

Now is the time of salvation…
