Nuggets of Wisdom

The following was sent to me, author unknown:

Sometimes the majority only means that all the fools are on the same side.

Lead your life so you won’t be ashamed to sell the family parrot to the town gossip.

There are two things I’ve learned: There is a God–and I’m not Him.

Real friends are those who, when you feel you’ve made a fool of yourself, don’t feel you’ve done a permanent job.

To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world.

Sometimes the majority only means that all the fools are on the same side.

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron…” I Timothy 4

Lead your life so you won’t be ashamed to sell the family parrot to the town gossip.

Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, 12 having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.” I Peter 2

There are two things I’ve learned: There is a God–and I’m not Him.

“6 ‘I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. ‘You shall have no other gods before Me.”  Deuteronomy 5

The fool has said in his heart, There is no God.”  Psalm 14:1

Real friends are those who, when you feel you’ve made a fool of yourself, don’t feel you’ve done a permanent job.

A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.”  Proverbs 17:17

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”  Prov. 18:24

As iron sharpens iron,  so one person sharpens another.”  Proverbs 27:17

To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”  Galatians 6:9-10

~~~~~~~~
“6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.” I Peter 5
  1. To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world. —- I want to reach out to others through the internet by posting inspirational blogs that help fight the wolves in this world. My hope is to reach out and “touch” that one person who “really needed to read that today”. —-That’s what’s in my about me section.
